Mustang

2010 Ford Mustang

I recently spent a week behind the wheel of the newest Mustang convertible. Rain or shine, this pony kept moving on down the highway. But is it still worthy of being named one of the best convertibles on the market? $25,995 base, $28,995 as tested, EPA fuel economy 16 MPG city, 24 MPG highway automatic, [...]

EcoBoost

2011 Ford Fiesta Ecoboost

Ford is testing the new four-cylinder Ecoboost engine in the U.S. right now. The three door hatchback version has created quite a stir among car experts. Originally, Ford had decided against launching this particular body style here in the U.S. It seems now that Ford designers have finally understood how well cars with similar body [...]

Ford Super Duty Track Bar End

Shown below is the Ford Track Bar Tapered Rod End sitting on my desk illustrating the key design improvement. This connects to the axle through a ball joint that faces straight down. In the photo below, the taper that marries up to the ball joint pin is vertical and the rod end points up, towards the Track Bar Bracket. This means that when your axle is at full droop, it isn’t cranking on that ball joint pin.

On the other end of the Track Bar is a threaded bung with a Heim Joint. So far we have a few of these running around Orange County and the owner’s response was a “night and day” improvement. We’re confident that this is exactly what Carli customers should expect.

I’ve answered some email asking about when these are going to be ready… and the answer is, SOON. Sage is at the photography studio right now (Wed @ noon) wrapping up the new Ford 4.5″ Suspension System, Ford Track Bar and a few other things that will be updated on the website and catalog next. We’re a day or so from getting these out the door.

Ford Super Duty Track Bar

Stand by guys, we’re about to launch another Carli upgrade for Ford Super Duty owners. The Carli Ford Track Bar is .25 wall Chromoly that we bend in-house. It uses a unique bearing end design that relieves some of the stress on the ball joint (axle end) with an angle so the pin stays closer to vertical.

Today the first track bar is going on a new Super Duty and here’s Sage right in the forefront of this development triple checking everything and getting this product ready for the masses.

Ford discusses plans for in-car app store

Austin, Texas is a wired kinda town: you’re nobody if you’re not on Four Square, the barmen know as much about Android as they do fixing drinks, and every year it plays host to South By South West Interactive — a tech conference on a gargantuan scale. This time 10,741 people have converged for the [...]

It has been built in various body styles that include the hatchback with three doors, the sedan holding four, the station wagon which also holds four doors, and the hatchback with five doors. Taurus

New Taurus-Based Police Interceptor

The Police Interceptor may be one of the single best known vehicles on the road. Sure, exotics turn heads, and heavy duty trucks are impossible to ignore, but there are few vehicles on the road today command the respect of Ford’s police package-equipped Crown Victoria. Blog this! 73 Falcon

The Ford Falcon is a full-size car which has been manufactured by Ford Australia since 1960. Each model from the XA series of 1972 onward has been designed, developed and built in Australia, following the phasing out of the American Falcon of 1960-71 which had been re-engineered locally for the harsher Australian conditions. As a [...]

Ford Taurus sedans a work of art

The new building’s entry takes one more very big step. Cai Guo-Qiang, the Chinese artist now living in New York, has installed his monumental 2004 sculpture “Inopportune: Stage One,” composed of nine white 1990s Ford Taurus sedans. The cars, once the most popular American-made fleet automobile, rise and fall in an arc suspended from the [...]
